Work you’ll do

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage Climate & Sustainability / ESG assurance and advisory engagements, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and compliance with professional standards.
  • Plan, manage, and execute assurance engagements in accordance with ISAE 3000, ISAE 3410, or other relevant assurance standards.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, including project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and overall engagement delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor while identifying opportunities to enhance service offerings.
  • Provide technical guidance on ESG reporting, sustainability disclosures, and ESG due diligence, helping clients navigate evolving regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of ESG assurance methodologies, work programmes, toolkits, and best practices.
  • Monitor emerging ESG trends, sustainability frameworks, and regulatory developments, translating insights into practical recommendations for clients.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and identifying new assurance opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop junior team members through effective delegation, mentoring, and performance feedback, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Deloitte to deliver integrated solutions that create meaningful value for clients.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in audit, assurance, attestation, or ESG/Sustainability assurance, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Experience leading client engagements, managing multiple projects, and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of ESG and sustainability reporting frameworks, such as GRI, ISSB, SASB, TCFD, and the GHG Protocol.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • A proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.IT literacy with sound knowledge and experience of Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu are required. Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage to support engagements with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders across the APAC region.
