Work you’ll do

  • Manage VAT/GST and other indirect tax compliance and payment obligations related to global digital services.
  • Perform and coordinate VAT/GST registrations and periodic compliance filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor changes in indirect tax regulations and requirements across jurisdictions and assess their potential impact.
  • Coordinate with overseas Deloitte member firms and external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance activities.
  • Liaise with clients and overseas stakeholders to manage tax-related matters, filing requirements, and compliance timelines.
  • Support indirect tax projects, including new country registrations and remediation of historical non-compliance or outstanding filing obligations.
  • Prepare reports and updates on global indirect tax compliance status, key developments, and outstanding issues.
  • Supporting Korean clients on various tax compliance and advisory matters, including coordination with relevant Deloitte specialists.
  • Monitoring relevant changes in Malaysian and international tax regulations and assessing their potential implications for Korean clients.
  • Preparing client communications, reports, proposals, and other materials relating to tax and advisory engagements.
  • Proactively identifying client needs, potential issues, and opportunities for additional support or services.

Requirement

  • Possess a minimum bachelor’s degree in related disciplines such as Accounting/ Economics/ Taxation/ Business Administration from recognized universities or any professional qualification in similar disciplines.
  • Native speaker in Korean. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint.
  • Able to prioritize and organize work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Leadership and people management skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
