Work you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Tax & Legal (T&L) Quality & Risk Director to support the SEA T&L Risk Leader in managing the execution of the quality and risk programme and priorities across Southeast Asia by the SEA T&L Quality & Risk Team. This role will help translate quality and risk strategy into high-impact initiatives, strengthen standards and workflows across technology and operations engagements, and provide practical, decision-ready guidance to leaders and client-facing teams. The successful candidate will combine strong professional services experience, sound business judgement, a structured approach to delivery, and the confidence to work with stakeholders across countries, functions and seniority levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist the SEA T&L Risk Leader in executing quality and risk key priorities and strategy, and deliver high-impact initiatives and special projects from concept to rollout.
- Redesign processes by diagnosing pain points, testing improvements, and supporting adoption through effective change management.
- Improve the standards, tools and workflows used by leaders and teams to manage quality and risk across technology and operations engagements, including risk assessment on technology that is internally or externally developed or acquired.
- Monitor and track progress against the annual quality and risk programme and provide concise, decision-ready updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Clear certain client and engagement acceptance-related approvals, including conflict checks and background check approvals for potential clients and engagements across Southeast Asia.
- Work with the Legal Team and client-facing teams to review and clear approvals for certain deviations from terms and conditions in service contracts, NDAs, RFPs, procurement documents and other related materials.
- Provide consultation on escalated client and engagement risk issues, including incident and brand event handling.
- Assist with internal and external professional standard and regulatory inspections across Southeast Asia.
- Supervise, coach and coordinate work with offshore or remote T&L QRM team members across Southeast Asia by setting clear priorities, reviewing output and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Perform other tasks as required to support the T&L quality and risk programme

Requirements
- At least 10–12 years of professional services experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial position.
- A strong quality mindset and a structured, process-driven approach to getting work done, balanced with critical thinking and professional scepticism to assess each matter on its specific facts and risks.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyse data, trends and root causes, with strong attention to detail and sound business judgement.
- Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Comfort working in ambiguity, with the ability to prioritise, move work forward and bring others along.
