Work you will do

This role sits within the Core banking offering, which is a part of the Technology, Strategy & Transformation team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, which focused on design and implementation of core banking platforms across Retail, SME, Commercial and Private Banking.

In this role you shall be responsible for the following:

• • Lead and own the end-to-end requirement lifecycle across banking products, driving requirements from elicitation to validation to sign off, ensuring completeness, traceability, and delivery readiness and alignment with regulatory requirements and industry practices
  • Classify requirements into out of the box, configuration, product customisation, integration, and gaps and solution options to address gaps
  • Develop decision-ready artefacts for business requirements, outlining options, trade-offs in terms of cost, time, functionality etc.
  • Support development of interface specifications
  • Develop specifications for implementations (BRDs, FSDs, Process flow diagrams, User Stories)
  • Lead functional system testing efforts.
  • Support data migration activities — validating data mapping rules, cleansing and transformation criteria, and reconciliation rules.
  • Support SIT/UAT cycles by providing inputs into test cases and coordinating issue resolution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior business analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to timelines.
  • Support end user training, cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization efforts.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in a technology or business discipline with a well ranked institution.
• 6 - 10 years' relevant experience
• Experience in leading end-to-end requirement lifecycle for at least 2 full-cycle core banking implementations or major upgrades for medium or large sized banks and delivery experience with banks in ASEAN is preferable
• Demonstrable experience in business analysis and project management.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end lifecycle of one or more functional domains – retail lending, SME lending, corporate loans, Deposits (CASA and TD)
• Extensive experience in writing functional specifications documents (BRD, FSD, User Stories, Process flows)
• Demonstrated experience in connecting business processes across applications with clear understanding of upstream/downstream dependencies
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
• Experience in working on Agile delivery methodologies
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of the new age solution provider landscape and their capabilities across banking.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape up and deliver new opportunities.
• Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings.
• Commitment to professional excellence, as well as personal and professional growth.
• Drive, tenacity, client focused and results oriented.
• An appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and ability to travel (both locally and abroad) is a prerequisite to fit to our short-term and long-term project assignment.
• Functional or Core Banking specific certifications.
