Work you will do

 

 

This role sits within the Core banking offering, which is a part of the Technology, Strategy & Transformation team of Deloitte Southeast Asia.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements while driving the successful delivery of banking transformation and digital initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of banking products, processes, and regulatory requirements, coupled with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

 

In this role you shall be responsible for the following:

 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), user stories, process flows, and use cases.
  • Work closely with technology teams to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployment activities.
  • Facilitate communication between business users, project managers, solution architects, and development teams.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with banking regulations, internal policies, and risk management requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, change management, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives as required. 

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and products such as:
    • Retail Banking
    • Corporate Banking
    • Digital Banking
    • Payments
    • Lending and Loans
    • Deposits and CASA
    • Credit Cards
    • Trade Finance
    • Treasury (preferred)
  • Experience working on banking transformation, system implementation, digitalization, or regulatory projects.
  • Strong knowledge of requirement gathering, business process modelling, and documentation methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, and business process modelling tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with core banking platforms such as Temenos, Finacle, Mambu, Oracle FLEXCUBE, or similar.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks within the banking industry.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile Business Analyst, or Scrum certifications are advantageous.
