Work you’ll do
Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (“SR&T”) – Performance Improvement & Restructuring (“PI&R”) practice in Southeast Asia.
Our people flourish in the unexpected. The PI&R team specialises in offering sophisticated advice and innovative solutions to companies facing corporate stress or disruption. Working with lenders, investors and senior stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs and MDs, we advise on financial restructuring / refinancing, operational restructuring, profit improvement programs, formal insolvency appointments (including Judicial Management, Receiverships and Liquidations) cash generation / working capital analysis, and large-scale complex transformational change, to protect and build value, while maximizing returns.
You will work alongside our clients to bring rigorous, evidence-based analytical capability and strategic thinking to help them solve pressing, complex and cross-border issues. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and developing solutions across the whole organization.

Your role as a team member

Additionally, Senior Consultants across our Firm are expected to:
- Lead selected workstreams across restructuring, turnaround, insolvency and performance improvement engagements.
- Manage financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, business plan assessments and operational diagnostic reviews with limited supervision.
- Supervise, coach and review the work of junior team members to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables.
- Assist clients, lenders, investors and other stakeholders in understanding key findings, risks and strategic options.
- Contribute to the preparation of independent business review reports, restructuring proposals, stakeholder presentations and board papers.
- Coordinate with clients and other advisers to obtain information and maintain momentum on engagements.
- Identify key commercial, financial and operational issues and develop practical recommendations.
- Support business development activities through proposal preparation, market research and thought leadership initiatives.
Requirements
- Possesses a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in restructuring, insolvency, consulting, corporate finance, transaction services, banking or credit analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams and deliver high quality client outputs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with a meticulous approach to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analytics and visualisation tools like Power BI, or Python is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience coaching and developing junior team members.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced and complex situations while balancing multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and adaptability abilities, proactively proposing solutions and working effectively in team environments.
- Inquisitive nature, always coachable for continuous development, with a strong desire to learn independently and stay updated on industry trends.
- Ability to navigate fast-paced, uncertain, or ambiguous situations while working against demanding timelines.
- Willing to travel for client assignments across Southeast Asia and internationally.
