Work you will do

 

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Regulatory & Financial Risk practice in Southeast Asia. We provide risk transformation, AI governance, Trustworthy AI, data, and modeling solutions, focusing on some of the unique and complex challenges our clients face.  We advise our clients how to optimize compliance programs, standardize processes and transform compliance to protect their value across the business, while building great visibility, efficiency and confidence for the future.

 

You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization.

 

The nature of the work we do includes:

 

  • Cultivate and manage C‑suite and senior executive relationships, positioning the firm as a trusted advisor on AI governance, accountability, and Trustworthy AI adoption.
  • Advise clients on the design and implementation of AI governance and Trustworthy AI frameworks, policies, and risk management across the AI lifecycle.
  • Guide organizations on how data, analytics, and AI system adoption align with Trustworthy AI principles, governance structures, and risk management.
  • Champion and maintain quality standards across engagements, ensuring robust validation, governance, and operational excellence.
  • Support and coordinate regional AI governance and Trustworthy AI initiatives, enabling consistency and practical application across markets
  • Identify growth opportunities, strengthen client partnerships, and deliver impactful strategic presentations while providing innovative solutions to complex financial risk and regulatory challenges.
  • Ensure excellence in governance, quality assurance, and operational delivery across all client engagements.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across regional and global teams, promoting knowledge exchange, consistent delivery excellence, and thought leadership.
  • Lead large-scale, high-impact projects, managing resources, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop senior professionals, nurturing a high-performing, future-ready team.
  • Represent the firm as a recognized industry leader, actively engaging in thought leadership activities, speaking engagements, industry forums, and publications.

Requirements

 

  • Possesses a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Holds relevant professional certifications in risk, technology, data, compliance, or governance; regulatory, technology risk, or audit-related credentials are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of extensive professional experience in financial services, banking, or consultancy, demonstrating senior-level leadership in risk management.
  • Proven experience advising organisations on AI governance, data governance, technology risk, emerging risk or enterprise risk management.
  • Strong understanding of AI and data solutions, with the ability to guide how AI system adoption, data foundations, and governance structures work together at enterprise level.
  • Regulatory or supervisory advisory experience related to AI, data or emerging risk is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in strategic analytics, data science, and advanced statistical tools such as Python, with experience in visualization software (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, transformational projects and high-performing multidisciplinary teams in complex, multi-stakeholder, international environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with high attention to detail and a meticulous work approach.
  • Ability to work efficiently against demanding timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities, with fluency in professional-level English.
  • Excellent collaboration, adaptability, and relationship management skills, with a strong ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • High-performing, coachable team player who prioritizes continuous development, puts clients first, and exemplifies a values-driven mindset.
