Deloitte Financial Services Tax Team
Our Financial Services Tax team has been growing as a direct result of positive market impact. Our team continues to go from strength to strength, and opportunities exist for likeminded people to contribute to the next stage of the practice’s growth.
Our team is diverse and comprises tax advisors, accountants, lawyers and economists. Team members have broad experience from professional practices and in-house roles, both in Singapore and from wider afield. We strive to learn from each other and leverage our respective skills and experiences.
We support financial services stakeholders across all subsectors, including Banking and Capital Markets, Investment Management, Real Estate and Insurance. We also have strong expertise in the emerging Digital Assets and Web 3.0 spaces.
Our team helps clients across the entire tax lifecycle, including ad hoc advisory assistance; fund, financing and transaction structuring; tax due diligence; tax compliance; global information reporting; and assisting with tax disputes. We often lead the delivery of regional and global engagements from Singapore.

Work you’ll do
Responsibilities will vary depending upon your leading level of seniority, experience and skills, but might include some of the following: tax research and the production of advice regarding tax technical matters; supervising preparation of tax computations/filings; leading tax workstreams vis-à-vis M&A transactions (including tax due diligence, tax structuring, tax modelling and SPA support); managing, training and coaching more junior members of the team; preparation of proposals and presentations and assisting with business development.

Requirements
- You should have at least 5-7 years of corporate tax experience preferably with an international accounting/law firm. Experience in both compliance and advisory roles are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Law or other business-related field, with a Professional Qualification as recognised by ISCA. An SCTP accreditation would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, good communication skills, proven project management skills and will work well both individually and as a member of a team. You will have experience managing people and be able to co-ordinate and deliver high-quality work.
- You will have a tax and finance, legal or accounting background and experience concerning one or more of the financial services sub-sectors listed below. We would also be particularly interested in speaking with persons who have investment management and/or M&A tax experience.
