Work you’ll do

Deloitte's Immigration Practice helps companies and individuals manage their immigration compliance matters and obligations effectively and efficiently. Leveraging on Deloitte's extensive resources and reach, our Immigration professionals keep clients abreast of developments and offers the unsurpassed consultation on immigration planning and compliance.

 

The Global Employer Services Immigration team within the Tax Practice offers multidisciplinary consultations to employers and foreign employees of multinationals, large, medium, and small companies. Your role includes assisting clients in addressing and managing immigration specific challenges of an employer. You will be responsible to lead the immigration teams on various client engagements in compliance with a specific focus on immigration matters which align with business needs, liaison with various relevant authorities including licensing requirements etc. There will be opportunities to work across with expertise of all functions that create a broader exposure and to develop excellent immigration advisory experience.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of global premium clients across various industries.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments and changes in immigration requirements and regulations.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery in line with Deloitte’s standards of excellence.
  • Provide clients with comprehensive business support and strategic advice, including immigration permits, company setup, and licensing matters.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with relevant government authorities to ensure smooth communication and process handling.
  • Monitor applications from initiation through to successful completion includes providing proper guidance to team members in respect of liaising with the clients to collate necessary information / documentation, drafting applications, issuing advice notes, and lodging applications with the relevant government authorities.
  • Work with management on business development opportunities.
  • Handle client interactions with maturity and professionalism, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport.
  • Manage team financial performance, including tracking billing progress and ensuring timely collections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in global mobility and/or immigration services, preferably within a professional services firm or similar organization.
  • Excellent communications, inter-personal skills, writing skills and passion to learn and deliver quality work.
  • Strong team player with the versatility to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Demonstrates maturity in handling client matters, supported by excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  •  Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines consistently.
