Work you will do

 

Deloitte Government & Public Services is committed to improving public outcomes through a focus on people. At Deloitte we think about the complex issues facing the public sector and develop relevant, timely, and sustainable solutions for our clients.

As a Consultant in Deloitte’s Consulting and Transformation Practice, you will be responnsible in project delivery and play a pivotal role in expanding our government and public sector consulting footprint across Singapore and the broader SEA region. You will drive strategic, operational, and digital transformation initiatives for ministries, agencies, and public organisations, leveraging your expertise to deliver impactful solutions, add value, and foster long-term client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • End-to-end project delivery for government and public sector clients, from advisory and strategy through to transformation, digital implementation, and operational improvement.
  • The development of presentations, reports, and decks that communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact.
  • Apply quantitative modelling techniques (financial and economic) to support strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and impact analysis for government and public sector projects. Interpret and communicate modelling outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring recommendations are data-driven and actionable.
  • Design and present compelling business cases, strategic plans, and transformation roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive innovation and best practices in public sector consulting.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for the public sector consulting practice, identifying new opportunities and building client relationships.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Accountant, CFA) are advantageous.
  • Experience with Government, government-linked entities, higher education is highly valued.
  • Professional experience in consulting and government, or central agencies, with a focus on public sector transformation and strategy.
  • Background in finance, economics, public policy, or related fields.Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation initiatives for government ministries, agencies, or international development organizations.
  • Experience working across Singapore and South-East Asia, with a strong understanding of both domestic and regional public sector challenges and opportunities.
  • Track record of delivering measurable impact through strategic advisory and implementation projects.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, technology strategy, and operational excellence in public sector environments.
  • Experience in developing and applying financial and economic models to inform government policy, investment decisions, and transformation strategies.
