Work you’ll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of the AI revolution, architecting and building a next-generation, enterprise-wide data platform on Google Cloud. You will move beyond traditional data engineering to create a system that is intelligent, automated, and the foundation for our most critical AI and analytics initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Innovate & Build: Design and implement a modern, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Enable AI & Analytics: Develop robust data pipelines that power everything from self-service analytics to Agentic AI and other advanced machine learning use cases.
• Solve Complex Problems: Utilize advanced analytics and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden insights and solve critical business challenges.
• Implement Robust Governance: Engineer automated data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks to ensure data is treated as a trusted, reliable product.
• Lead & Mentor (Senior Level): Guide the technical direction of the platform, champion best practices, and mentor a talented team of engineers.

Additionally, Senior Consultants across our Firm are expected to:

Core Data Platform & Architecture:

• Proven experience designing and building enterprise-scale, cloud-native data platforms. GCP experience is required; strong AWS experience is also valued.
• Expertise in designing multi-layered data architectures (e.g., for raw, cleansed, and consumption-ready data layers) to ensure quality and scalability.
• Mastery of building robust, metadata-driven ingestion pipelines for diverse data types (Batch, Streaming, API, IoT/Geospatial) using tools like Python.
• Strong expertise in data modeling (Dimensional/Star Schema, 3NF) and building performant, subject-oriented data marts in a cloud warehousing environment.
• Hands-on experience with core GCP services, particularly Google BigQuery and its ecosystem (e.g., Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Dataplex).

Data Governance, Quality & BI:

• Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, including automated data lineage, data catalogs, and granular access controls.
• A strong understanding of modern data strategy concepts like Data Mesh or "Data as a Product."
• Familiarity supporting a hybrid BI environment with tools like Tableau and Power BI, connecting them to a governed semantic layer or directly to data warehouse.
• Proficiency with FinOps principles to ensure cost-efficient architecture and operations.

AI & Machine Learning Enablement (Plus but not required):

• Experience architecting data solutions that directly support advanced AI/ML use cases, including Conversational BI and intelligent agents.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate data platforms with Large Language Models (LLMs), especially via Google Vertex AI.
• Experience developing and managing a comprehensive MLOps framework for the full model lifecycle (feature engineering, deployment, monitoring).

Requirements:

We're looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of turning data into actionable insights. While we have a few key skills in mind, we encourage you to apply even if you don't check every single box. We value a diversity of experience and a willingness to learn.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with a track record of technical leadership on complex data projects (5 and above members).
• A degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Mindset: You have a creative, solution-oriented approach and are passionate about working effectively in a diverse team.
